Until now, we have continued development under the v0.9.x series, as hybrid search accuracy and automatic updates still required further improvement. With the enhancements introduced in this release, we believe the plugin has reached a level suitable for practical use, and are therefore releasing it as version 1.0.

Unlike general-purpose AI chat services such as ChatGPT, FE Search AI is installed as a plugin on a WordPress website. When visitors ask a question through the chat interface, the plugin searches content within the site based on their request, and the AI generates an answer using the retrieved information. In other words, it serves as a guide for your WordPress site.

With conventional keyword search, visitors may not be able to find the information they need unless they already know the right keywords to use. FE Search AI helps guide users to relevant information more accurately than before—even when their questions are vague or phrased in natural language.

FE Search AI is available in both a Free edition and a Pro edition. The Free edition alone provides robust AI search and RAG chat functionality, making it easy to introduce on a wide range of websites.
Please note that usage fees for AI providers such as GPT, Claude, and Gemini are charged separately on a pay-as-you-go basis.

By using the Pro edition, you can also access advanced features and dedicated support, including:

• Flexible AI model selection based on your site’s goals and budget
• Support for specifying AI models in on-premises or local LLM environments in accordance with your security policies
